DOHA, Qatar – Qatar Airways continues to deliver on its commitment to network restoration, and is steadily expanding its reach to more than 160 gateways for the ease and convenience of international travellers. Starting today, the airline is returning to 26 destinations in key global markets.
The World’s Best Airline, as voted by Skytrax in 2025 for the ninth time, resumed safe and secure operations from March 2026 to over 60 destinations. It gradually began rebuilding its network to facilitate connectivity across the globe, and will now serve more than 160 destinations this summer.
Qatar Airways’ award-winning passenger experience is delivered on the tenets of operational reliability and safety. The airline delivered 84.42% on-time performance in 2025, which has been recognised by Cirium – the leading aviation analytics organisation, with the prestigious Platinum Award for Operational Excellence. Travellers also benefit from seamless transfers through Qatar Airways’ hub, Hamad International Airport.
A destination in its own right, Hamad International Airport is home to Qatar Duty Free’s extensive portfolio of diverse lifestyle and dining outlets for travellers from every walk of life. The travel experience is made more rewarding through the airline’s loyalty programme, Privilege Club. Members can earn and spend Avios during their journey to unlock future benefits.
The airline’s onboard experience is supported by Starlink, the fastest Wi-Fi in the sky. More than 140 Qatar Airways aircraft are equipped with Starlink, making it the world’s first and largest Starlink-equipped widebody fleet. Passengers in both Premium and Economy cabins enjoy Wi-Fi speeds of up to 500 Mbps per aircraft.
Qatar Airways’ Summer 2026 Global Network
Along with the previously announced Port Sudan (PZU) route to be launched on 2 July, the airline is returning to the following African destinations:
Kigali (KGL), Rwanda, with two weekly flights
Seychelles (SEZ), Seychelles, with four weekly flights
Marrakesh (RAK), Morocco, with seven weekly flights
With service to Caracas (CCS) and Bogotá (BOG) starting from 22 July, its return to Philadelphia (PHL) from 1 August, Qatar Airways is reinstating its network in the Americas with four weekly flights to Boston (BOS). As the Official Airline Partner of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Qatar Airways is increasing its service to Boston from four to seven weekly flights to support fan travel during football’s biggest tournament.

Additional FIFA host cities supported by Qatar Airways’ increased flights include:

Los Angeles (LAX), USA: increased from four to seven weekly flights
Miami (MIA), USA: increased from seven to 10 weekly flights
San Francisco (SFO), USA: increased from four to seven weekly flights
In Asia and Asia Pacific, the airline is returning to the following destinations:

Almaty (ALA), Kazakhstan, with seven weekly flights
Auckland (AKL), New Zealand, with seven weekly flights

Tbilisi (TBS), Georgia, with seven weekly flights
Tokyo Haneda (HND), Japan, with four weekly flights (increased to seven weekly flights from 1 August)
Yerevan (EVN), Armenia, with four weekly flights
Qatar Airways’ expanded service in Europe includes the following destinations:

Brussels (BRU), Belgium, with seven weekly flights

ROUTES - TRANSAVIA ADDS AMSTERDAM – ILHA DO SAL In 2026

Transavia plans to add flights to Cape Verde in the 2026/27 winter season, with two weekly flights scheduled between Amsterdam, Faro, Sal Island and Amsterdam, starting October 27, 2026.

ROUTES - LOT Polish Airlines kicked off its new destination to the heart of northern Portugal. Direct flights to Porto are now ready for takeoff

LOT Polish Airlines launched flights on the Warsaw – Porto route.
The route will be operated year-round: five times a week during the summer season and four times a week in winter.

Following in the footsteps of Lisbon, Porto is the second Portuguese destination in LOT's flight network.


Popular Western European destinations have become a well-established part of the national carrier’s regular flight schedule. These destinations attract particular attention during the summer season, when long-awaited holidays and dream family vacations finally become real journeys. The newly launched Porto service, inaugurated on May 25, perfectly reflects this trend.


During the summer season, flights on the WAW–OPO route will operate five times a week – every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. LOT Polish Airlines aircraft will depart from Warsaw Chopin Airport at 10:20 a.m., while return flights will operate on the same days at 2:25 p.m. Flight time to Porto will be approximately 4 hours and 5 minutes, while the return leg to Warsaw will take around 3 hours and 45 minutes.

ROUTES - TAP Air Portugal has confirmed plans to expand its network, including new long-haul routes to Orlando, Curitiba and Sao Luis do Maranhao


The carrier will launch a 3X-weekly Lisbon-Orlando service from Oct. 29, strengthening its North American network. In Brazil—its largest international market—TAP will mark 60 years of operations by adding Lisbon-Curitiba from July 2 (3X-weekly using Airbus A330-200s) and Lisbon-Sao Luis do Maranhao from Oct. 26 (2X-weekly using A321LRs). Frequencies to Porto Alegre and Florianopolis will also increase. CEO Luís Rodrigues says the airline will also expand its strategic focus on Porto. Under its “TAP with the North” plan, the airline will add Porto routes to Terceira, Praia and Tel Aviv, and make Porto-Boston year-round.

ROUTES - Jet2 announces expanded Summer programme for 2027 from London Gatwick



Jet2 has announced a significantly expanded Summer programme for 2027 from London Gatwick, just weeks before the company launches its first flights and holidays from its newest airport base.

For just its second summer of operations from London Gatwick, the UK’s favourite airline and tour operator has increased capacity by 27% in response to demand. This expanded programme has seen 35 sun and leisure city destinations, and a brand-new route to Lesvos (Mytilene), go on sale.

This expanded programme comes in response to strong demand from local holidaymakers, and with 1.1 million seats on sale, customers and independent travel agents across the region can enjoy huge choice when it comes to booking early and unlocking the sunshine for next summer.

This exciting new programme includes a brand-new and exclusive route to Lesvos (Mytilene). Jet2 will operate weekly Sunday services from 2nd May to 10th October 2027 to the stunning Greek island sitting in the heart of the Aegean. ROUTES - Azores Airlines will introduce a new service between Terceira and Madeira in its 2026 summer schedule, expanding connectivity between the two Portuguese archipelagos



The route is scheduled to begin on May 7th, with weekly flights on Thursdays, increasing to twice a week between June and September during the high season. At the peak of summer, a frequency will be added on Mondays, with return flights the following day. The new nonstop route complements existing services via Ponta Delgada and will increase Azores Airlines' total offering at the peak of summer to 12 weekly frequencies between the Azores and Madeira. The Lajes-Funchal route follows an update to Portugal's public service obligations, which now include a direct connection under the regulated air services regime between the two island regions.
