ROUTES - Azores Airlines will introduce a new service between Terceira and Madeira in its 2026 summer schedule, expanding connectivity between the two Portuguese archipelagos

The route is scheduled to begin on May 7th, with weekly flights on Thursdays, increasing to twice a week between June and September during the high season. At the peak of summer, a frequency will be added on Mondays, with return flights the following day. The new nonstop route complements existing services via Ponta Delgada and will increase Azores Airlines' total offering at the peak of summer to 12 weekly frequencies between the Azores and Madeira. The Lajes-Funchal route follows an update to Portugal's public service obligations, which now include a direct connection under the regulated air services regime between the two island regions.

A companhia aérea Azores Airlines anunciou um reforço da oferta de voos Ponta Delgada – Faro no próximo Verão.
A transportadora anunciou que terá mais uma ligação por semana a partir de 2 de Junho, elevando o total para três voos por semana.
Os voos entre os Açores e o Algarve serão operados às quartas, sextas e Domingos.A companhia aérea do Grupo SATA indica que os voos partem de Ponta Delgada às 9h e de Faro às 13h25, com duração de voo de cerca de duas horas e 25 minutos.
